Silverlake near Dorchester, is a beautiful new luxury holiday home development. With a WW2 aviation heritage, and a blissfully peaceful ecological setting you can properly unwind and relax.
Oh and there's a luxury spa on site. My kind of break!
Owners' notes in welcome pack:
"Silverlake is built on an old sand quarry, which used to be World War II RAF base - RAF Warmwell. The airfield was a fighter base was used by the RAF and USAF operating number of aircraft including Hawker Typhoons, Spitfire and P38 Lightnings. A number of squadrons served from here, with 609 squadron being one of the main ones. Their motto is "Tally Ho" hence the house name. You will see a number of Spitfires, Typhoons, Spitfire
aviation chairs and other memorabilia in the house in homage to the brave young men and women of the Royal Air Force.
As part of any rental we will be donating £50 pounds per week of rental we get to the RAF Association, a charity supporting past and serving RAF personnel."
